Zacharia Spanoski leads a double life. To his mum and dad he is a quiet boy who doesn't stand out from the crowd and that's just the way his parents like it. But when they're not around he throws off his knitted jumper and emerges as Zac Spanner!
He is the great grandson of a Russian rocket scientist who escaped to Britain during the second world war. Grandad was a British Agent. Dad is an insurance salesman.
His parents are over-protective. Mum styles his hair, chooses his clothes, picks his shoes and knits him jumpers.
What his parents don't know is that Zac is a brilliant inventor with a talent for turning useless junk into ingenious devices. And Zac has a refuge, his secret laboratory hidden in the attic where he puts his talents to good use.
